About The Program

Part of Planet Earth is a fun, engaging assembly program that uses live music performances and projected multimedia to help students understand our connections to the Earth around us and to each other.

Husband and wife team Ron Franklin and Lencsi Angel take their audience on a musical journey that includes lessons in cultural diversity around the world, geography, healthy eating, cultural understanding, ocean conservation, moral character and peace.

Through great original music, stunning High Definition visuals on the projection screen, and interaction with the students, everyone comes away from the program with catchy tunes in their ear and a greater understanding of living in harmony with our Earth and our fellow creatures.

Goals of the program

1) Improve awareness of geography, biological diversity and ecological balance

2) Examine global patterns of weather, ocean currents and solar activity

3) Explore the variety of human culture on Earth and show our common humanity

4) Show the impact of human activity on planet Earth

5) Practical ways we can all contribute to taking care of the planet, each other and ourselves.

Ron Franklin and Lencsi Angel - Part of Planet Earth creators

Emmy® award-winning husband and wife team Ron Franklin and Lencsi Angel are teachers and musicians who take their audience on a musical journey through geography, cultural diversity, ocean conservation, healthy eating, global understanding and peace.

Lencsi brings 30 years of teaching experience and her limitless enthusiasm to the development of this production for kids. Ron is a master singer- songwriter whose music touches the hearts of children of all ages.

As producers of the Emmy-winning TV show The Good Food Factory, Ron and Lencsi have helped bring the message of healthy cooking for kids to millions of homes. Now they are using the Part of Planet Earth Assembly to show kids that we're all connected to each other and to all life on the planet.

Lencsi holds a Master of Arts in Education degree from San Diego State University and Ron has a Master of Music degree from Texas Tech University. Both Ron and Lencsi have years of teaching experience at both the secondary school and college level. They live in Esconidido, California.
